4 Unconventional Peaceful Abodes in Himachal Pradesh

Himachal Pradesh is one the most sought after and regarded tourist destination for the travelers in search of peace, beauty and tranquility. But upon setting a foot on a famous tourist place of this exotic highland, your dream for fresh air and enchanting scenery gets shattered by huge crowds, motor horns and baggage carriers determined to drag around your luggage. So, if this hypothetical scenario (which by the way is true!) does not impress you, then probably visiting such famous destination during peak tourist season is probably not a good idea. So either visit such places in off seasons from- October to March – or opt for the following offbeat places to get pleasantly surprised:

Tirthan Valley:
This place boasts of nature in its purest form. With the Tirthan River flowing with an enchanting music, this place is your best escape from the hustle and noise of the cities, thus topping this list of off-beat places. Though Tirthan Valley is open whole year round, the best time to visit is during the spring season when you’ll find the blooming flowers further beautifying this exotic highland. You can either camp by the river side or book a comfortable room to rejuvenate and reconnect with Mother Nature.

Pabbar Valley:
Surrounded with a lush green flora and fauna, this place provides an amazing panoramic view along with a wide range of adventure sports options such as trekking, camping, hiking, fishing and paragliding. So before this place turns into another major tourist attraction and gets polluted by the huge rush of travelers, make it a point to visit it. You’ll be impressed with how this place has kept its simplicity intact along with providing such great adventure sports.

Chindi, Karsog Valley:
Many amongst us might have imagined the peaceful life of the people in 90s with picturesque homes, relaxed life and peaceful surroundings. Well, here is a place that matches the picturesque canvas of your imagination. It comprises of beautiful homes surrounded by orchids where you’ll find birds chattering and children playing. So, if you are looking forward to spending some quiet and peaceful time with your family, this is the place for you. This is another off beat tourist attraction in Himachal Pradesh consisting of terraced fields, beautifully lined trees of cedar and outdoor activities which will keep you mesmerized and occupied. A beautiful river called Uhl flows through this place further mystifying the background. People here are simple, friendly while you can enjoy shopping in the local market filled with delicate items highlighting the intricate craftsmanship.

The above mentioned places would not be covered in the usual holiday packages of the Himachal tours as they are not the conventional tourist spots and thus protected by the unwanted tourist noise and hustle. If you want to visit such places, traveling by a personal vehicle would be the best or else if you are traveling solo, you can enjoy the efficient public transport system of Himachal Pradesh.
